Who We Are

GHM connects individuals and congregations with opportunities to engage directly in mission, through hands-on service projects, volunteer opportunities in our warehouse, timely financial support to improve health, or helping find the intersection of a person’s expertise and an opportunity to help meet a global partner’s need as a volunteer consultant or Global Health Volunteer.

GHM offers speakers who are delighted to share inspirational stories of impact and challenge with your group, whether in the context of worship, conferences, adult education, youth groups or other gatherings.

Well at Ejeda Hospital, Madagascar supported by donations to GHM

A grant from Bethlehem Lutheran Church Twin Cities brought life-giving water to Ejeda Hospital in southwestern Madagascar in 2019. This new well was funded through Bethlehem’s capital campaign. Bethlehem gives away a portion of whatever they bring in during a capital campaign for outreach.

“We learned a long time ago that we are at our best when we look beyond ourselves.”

Stirring Hearts

A significant portion of the funding that helps the hands that heal comes from individuals and congregations. The generosity of congregations as well as their members helps fuel this ministry. We can’t do it without you! Some congregations choose to share a portion of monthly benevolence with GHM. Others highlight our partnership on a Sunday dedicated to celebrating mission. Still others have the capacity to provide grants from congregation foundations, or from a capital campaign. Every gift, whether $100, $1,000 or $10,000, makes a difference.

Gifts to GHM from individuals and partner congregations support the healing ministries of the church overseas. These connections help us here at home, too, stirring our hearts, inspiring generosity, and growing our faith.

You can help the hands that heal.
