2024 Symposium

Inspired by the writings of Rev. Dr. Walter Brueggemann, our theme for this year’s Symposium was Who is Our Neighbor. We were delighted to welcome our two speakers who approached the question from their perspectives of science and faith. Lon Kightlinger brought his experience serving in medical and public health positions for 20 years in Madagascar and later as State Epidemiologist for the South Dakota Department of Health to bear on the topic. Dr. Michael Chan, Vice President for Mission and Inclusion at Concordia College in Moorhead and former associate president of Old Testament at Luther Seminary, shared with us an Old Testament vision of abundance and generosity among neighbors. Their remarks were recorded and we’ll be sharing their presentations here as soon as they’re available.

It was a great Gala!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for GHM’s 2024 Gala! More than 250 people gathered to celebrate the work of Global Health Ministries and our international partners. It was our biggest Gala ever, raising more than $100,000 to help the hands that heal as together we work for a more just world - a world where all people have access to health and the opportunity to thrive.
